D. Pharmacy is a two year course after two year the candidate have to complete the hospital training. After D. Pharmacy and completion of hospital training the students are registered as pharmacists under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act,, 1948. Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) regulates the profession of Pharmaceutical sciences, and PCI has introduced the Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination (DPEE) for the Diploma in Pharmacy students in which the students have to appear and qualify before the registration in state pharmacy council register as a registered pharmacist.
In DPEE candidate shall obtain 50% marks in the paper to become a registered Pharmacist. There shall be a multiple choice questions related to the subjects studied in the diploma course. The syllabus and announcements regarding the same shall be done by the authorities time to time.
